European Parliament approves provisional agreement on autonomous trade measures for Ukraine

23/04/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 23 April, MEPs approved the provisional agreement reached with the Council of the EU in order to extend autonomous trade measures for Ukraine (428 votes in favour, 131 against, and 44 abstentions). The current measures will expire on 4 June, and the co-legislators have agreed to extend them one last time, with reinforced safeguards for certain agricultural products (see EUROPE B13386A1).
